Quality Industry Standards
We want to ensure that editions in your catalog maintain industry standards that are expected by retailers and performers. If presentation of musical and written material is poor, then the chance that your score is returned is greater as retailers won’t be able to resell. Each score that is submitted for distribution will receive a scaled rating so you can be aware of the risk of returns related to your score. A poor rating will not prevent distribution, and this score will not be shared with retailers. This information is only shared with you under your Songburd Connect Account. To improve your rating we recommend hiring an engraver and editor to review your editions. If you have questions about how to improve your quality rating, we would be happy to schedule a meeting to review your score and provide advice and resources.
